Google has released latest distribution stats of different versions of its Android OS .
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich , even though not the latest version anymore , has now made its way on 15.9 % of the devices , while Android 2.3 Gingerbread still runs on 60.3% devices . Android 4.0 ICS user base was only 10.9 % last month and 7.1 % the month before , which means the user base has more than doubled in the past two months .
The latest version of Android - 4.1 Jelly Bean is present only in 0.8% devices . With most of the new devices shipping with ICS and updates being rolled out by manufacturers hopefully ICS will spread more .
