The Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich update is now available for the Lava XOLO X900. This is the first ever Android phone which runs on the Intel Medfield processor and it was launched a couple of months back with Android 2.3 Gingerbread for Rs. 22,000 but since then the price of it has been reduced to Rs. 17,500 as reported here - http://www.techenclave.com/latest-technology-news/price-lava-xolo-x900-drops-139480/.

Hardware wise, the phone is pretty solid for the price. It has a 4 inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1024*600, runs on a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 processor processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 Mega Pixel rear camera and a front 1.3 Mega Pixel front camera. The phone also has 16 GB of internal memory and it runs on a battery with a capacity of 1,460 mAh.

The ICS update brings in several new features which were introduced by google last year by launching ICS, such as a brand new User Interface, a New lock screen with face unlock, a Faster browser, new User Interface for the Camera, etc.

The update weighs in at about 222 MB, and is available now. The update can also be done by connecting a USB cable. If you seek additional help, the XOLO website can help you more - Support- XOLO X900 Smartphone.
