Android 4.0 update for Sony Xperia P starts rolling out
Sony Mobile has announced officially via their blog they have started rolling out Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) for the Sony Xperia P, though the update has released very late. This update is bringing in new features such as a new lock screen with improved functionality, widgets which are resizeable, a new recent apps button, Walkman function, and also album and movies app. The Android 4.0 update for the Xperia phone, Xperia S was released back in June.
The users who have the Xperia P will receive a notification regarding this new update. It would be available in two ways, OTA (Over the air) and via a PC which is running either Windows or Mac. This update will be rolling out over the next couple of weeks, and availability might differ amongst countries and telecom carriers.
Sony has also announced that other Xperia phones (U, Sola and Go) will also receive Android 4.0 update very soon.
