Android 4.0 update starts rolling out for the Motorola Droid Razr and Razr Maxx

Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for the Motorola Droid Razr and Droid Razr Maxx has started to be rolled out to owners in India. Motorola had started rolling out the ICS update for Droid Razr and Droid Razr Maxx last week in the U.S. Update was received on both the Razr and Razr Maxx.

This new update is bringing in improved web browsing, a new People app with integrated contacts, unified calendar more intuitive enhanced communication and Face Unlock. The New Lock screen lets you make a call, send a text or take a picture, easily.

The Android 4.0 update is available OTA (Over the Air) and weighs in at about 285 MB for the Razr, so downloading it over WiFi instead of 3G is recommended. The update can be checked manually from the Settings > About phone > System updates. If it says it’s update to date, restarting the phone should fix the issue.
