Android and Samsung rule China, now the world’s largest smartphone market
Just a few weeks back the United States of America lost it's pole position as the world's largest smartphone market, it wasn't an unexpected surprise as it was going to happen sooner or later by China. Now China has become the largest Smartphone market in the entire world now, overtaking the USA, and it is being dominated by Android handsets.
In the United States, Android and Apple's iOS are currently tied in a tight battle for the number one smartphone spot, but that's not the case in China. In China, 66% of the smartphones which are being sold right now are running on Google's Android OS. All this after two major carrier's right now are offering the iPhone 4S right now.
Samsung is currently holding the lead with 22% of the piece of share in quarter 1 of 2012 alone. Apple's iPhone is holding a 19% share in China in the meanwhile.
This actually news actually means that 1/4th of all Android phones being sold right now are being sold in China.
