Please help me select a phone...

1. Q: Budget?
A: 9k

2. Q: Preferred Form Factor(flip, bar, slider)?
A: Bar

3. Q: Preferred display type?
A: best possible in my range

4. Q: Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
A: Samsung or LG

5. Q: Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?
A: Touchscreen

6. Q: Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.
A: Required a min. 3MP camera. Flash if possible.

7. Q: Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: Android

8. Q: Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).
A: 3G / wifi

9. Q: What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: Camera, internet, gaming and multimedia

A: Samsung Galaxy Pop S5570 (Rs.7249), Samsung Galaxy 3 i5801 (Rs.6899), LG Optimus One P500(Rs.9000) - (all from letsbuy with Rcom voucher)

My basic use is going to be phone call , gaming , multimedia , internet i want something which can be upgraded later...

Dell XCD 35 aka Zte Blade. Awesome phone which you'll get for around 9k with the letsbuy voucher. I'm using it now and the support over at Modaco is awesome. Fully recommended. It's got a much better screen than O1, but it's slightly less powerful. Much better than the Samsung phones, IMO.

Optimus one, hands down.

I have used it from over 4 months with a cyanogenmod 7 (gingerbread)

Excellent phone, haven't had one problem so far.

I've also dropped it so many times but the phone is intact.

P500 is my first choice, but the others see to have similar specs for a lesser price.. thats were I am not sure which one to buy.

I currently plan to use the phone with Stock ROM, would you still suggest P500.

Also have read abt p500 having dust problem? Is it solved now?

^ both above phone's have much lower scteen resolution then p500. The screen resolution is one of the major factors that makes or breaks your android experience. Plus while pop and p500 have same processors, galaxy i5801 has a much weaker processor. Both galaxy 3 and p500 have good roms with g3 even having Miui port :) :)

both galaxy 3 and pop have mush lesser ram than optimus one

Galaxy 3 runs on 2.1 eclair version and official 2.2 update may not come so you will need to install custom rom

Pop is good phone but its resolution is quite low

why don't you buy Samsung Galaxy Pro.. it retails for 8800 approx. on ebay with bill and warranty. it has a touchscreen and a qwerty too plus all the things you mentioned above =)
