Android phone having best camera in 10-15K budget

Hello all, am looking for a phone for a (female) relative who basically is not looking for anything fancy, but it must be an android (2.3 or higher) phone and must have a great camera. Battery life is not too important but should last the day with moderate usage.

Questions:-

1. Q: Budget?

A: 10-15K. Not more.

2. Q: Preferred Form Factor(flip, bar, slider)?

A: Bar

3. Q: Preferred display type?

A: No preference, but SLCD / AMOLED would be great if possible at this price point. Also would prefer 3.7" or more in terms of screen size.

4. Q: Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.

A: None.

5. Q: Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?

A: Touchscreen

6. Q: Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.

A: Definitely require atleast a 5MP camera with a good flash. More than megapixels the image quality must be great. This is the most important factor in consideration.

7. Q: Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).

A: Android, no exceptions (and no discussions!)

8. Q: Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).

A: WiFi, 3G

9. Q: What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?

A: Regularly phone usage, light internet usage, lots of camera use, and some other use (light games, whatsapp etc.)

Would greatly appreciate suggestions!

Although it is the most affordable among the HTC One bunch, the One V also comes with an HTC ImageChip, which should result in great-looking photos and short load-up times. Indoor shots look okay as long as the room is well illuminated, but once lights get dim, image quality deteriorates immediately. [/font]

The Motorola Defy doesn't have a good camera. With a custom rom it can at best give you some improvement. If you want a decent phone with a good camera consider importing the Samsung Vibrant (T-Mobile) or AT&T Samsung Captivate both are the rebadged versions of the first generation Samsung Galaxy with S-AMOLED screen, 16 gb inbuilt memory and a fast 1Ghz cpu and good gpu. A good one can be had for 9-12k. A lot of people in Techenclave use it.

Good cameras in android phones are a rarity in mid range.

Still you can consider the following 5 MP snappers,but dont expect n series quality

1)Samsung Galaxy ace: Pretty much overpriced for what it offers(subpar screen,processor) but the camera is good and the phone is a best seller.(with good resale value)

2)Sony Xperia mini series: all Have pretty good 5 mp cams

3)Xperia Neo V

4)Xperia Pro/Xperia ray

above are in no particular order, but the ray/pro have the best camera among these.

Given its impressively bright f/2.0 lens and the big deal HTC made about it, it's hardly a surprise that the One V camera is among the strongest players in the 5 MP league. It resolves plenty of fine detail and while noise suppression is a tad too aggressive, most of it is still present in the final image. Colors are okay, too and we should give the camera a pat on the back for being extra fast.
