While googling here i found perfect example how worst anger would be ..
Willing to share same with my TE friends..

While a man was washing his new car, his 4 yr old son picked a stone & scratched lines on the side of the car.
In anger, the man took the child's hand & hit it many times, not realizing he was using a wrench.
At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures.

When the child saw his father....
with painful eyes he asked 'Dad when will my fingers grow back?'
Man was so hurt and speechless. He went back to car and kicked it a lot of times.
Devastated by his own actions..... . sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches, child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'.
The next day that man committed suicide. . .
Anger and Love have no limits, Choose the later to have a beautiful & lovely life....

Things are to be used and people are to be loved, But the problem in today's world is that People are used and things are loved.......

touching indeed the other stories listed there are well worth a read as well

if only it were easier to raise feelings in one self this place would have been a different place to live in, unfortunately it isnt so :(
 
Plot holes : :P

a) you do not notice that you are beating somebody with a wrench?
b) You go ballistic over your 4-year old son scratching a car? WTF was he doing for ages 2&3 which are far more destructive
c) You get to go home after you mutilate you son?
d) A four year old can write and speak coherent sentences that too with perfect grammar?
e) He committed suicide the next day (assuming you can abuse children and go home) - so the message is "Shoot yourself if you get angry"?
"Touching stories" are fine, but is it too much to ask for a little plausibility
 
^^Biggest question for the day...

How can you have a wrench in your hand while you are washing your car???
 
So strange for people finding plot holes/questions and considering it as only a story. Try to understand Moral of story, which seems we should control our Anger and decisions being taken in anger.
 
^^ Its about interpretations my friend. Everyone views the same piece of writing with different perspectives. A prose is not science, its not exact with a yes or no answer :)

I know what you mean and I understand the feelings that this story invokes... but that is it's purpose and even Aesop the most famous fable write of all time, never wrote stories with morals like this.... it has a somewhat cruel and twisted side to it.

I for one, do not appreciate someone writing these fables to deliberately mislead the way people feel. It seems somewhat dishonest, dirty and twisted to me and takes something that is a horrifically sad tale and trivializes it.

I find this similar to those chain letter you get about the sick woman in Ethopia with cancer that ran from the govt with 10 billion $'s and wants to share it with you for being such a wonderful human being. :P A deliberate attempt to prey on your emotions simply to get a reaction from you.
 
Whatever Pixelpusher said...i hear you on the chain emails, i've had to endure those from certain ppl, in the past and found best cure to it was to reply back with dirty jokes. Invariably the senders happen to be depressed women, guys are not intersted in 'love' other than making more of it :D

..this story is in seriously very poor taste..

So the poor kid is left without fingers and to top it off HAS NO DAD ANYMORE!

..all for what crime :(

How hard would it have been, i wonder to evoke fellings of 'love' & 'anger' without using characters that are borderline criminally insane. Surely, the key is coming up with a plot involving 'normal' people that everyone can identify with and then, smack then with the twists.

..or is that too much work ;)

I do the exact same thing. Although, in my case, it's usually Christian friends wanting to save my soul from the eternal fires of hell.
