Galvanizer
Budget is 8-9 lakhs.can strech up to 10. Need some advice on
1.Performance
2.Interiors
3.Maintenance (cost of spares)
looking to buy by the year end......ya all thots......

In 10lacs and performance eh... get a Cedia. Verna and Optra are good only in a straight line. You'd understeer into the first tree on the curve.

IMO, NHC interiors and fit and finish - sucky. Visible weld joints, a few bare spots in the metal on both outside and inside, and the interiors - too plasticky. No visibility through the rear windscreen or through the B-pillar, and though the driver's seat is height adjustable, you run out of headroom due to the steep rake of the front windshield, by the time the height is usable. And I'm not even tall. No alloys means you're stuck with steel wheels in a car worth 11.5 Lakh (OTR Mum). Not nice, and you can't fit aftermarket parts (not even alloys) without voiding the warranty.

They got the engine right, but it looks like something that was a little rushed through the door in every other department. It's still a great deal, just not the Civic killer I was hoping it would be.

Oh crap I totally forgot. +1 for the Lancer Cedia.

Loved this ever since I'd been driven in Chaos's car. :P

Is the NHC priced at 11.5L??? :O

Wasn't it like 7.5~8.5L??? :S

go for magnum if you want to sit in the rear seat and want to be chauffer driven or if you have high running and want diesel..

anhc will be good when self driven and cost of running will be higher as compared to optra considering that chevvy gives a 3yr complete maintainence package free

New Honda City interiors are very poor for the segment that it belongs. (This is typical of Japanese cars. Good engine, nothing else is that special.) The i10 interiors look better IMO :P .

The Optra if you want to ride over potholed roads without bothering to slowdown

The Cedia if great handling is what you want

Verna if you want a middle of the road package which excels at nothing but does OK at everything

The ANHC is a great package, but here is a pointer

Bearing replacements at 60K for my Corsa cost 1.7K(last week), bearing replacement for my boss's City (NHC) at 45K kms (same day)- 8K

What a ridiculous naming system. What will the next iteration be? The All All New Honda City?

LMAO... nopes, it would TANHC... THE ABSOLUTELY New Honda City!!

On the topic... +1 Cedia! Though I never sat in HC, I've heard about interiors being not that good from many people.

Just drove the Civic automatic 2-3 days back, I'm so in love with the car.

Civic 1.8V AT - Rs 12.8L (Delhi)

Should be about ~14L onroad...

Bah.

Some people also refer to it as 3GHC - 3rd generation honda city. Oh, and as someone else pointed out, maintenance is costly with Honda. Kinda makes you mad that they charge so much just for a good engine.

3GHC is slightly harder to type compared to ANHC, at least thats the reason given @ team bhp for chosing ANHC over 3GHC :P
