Annoying BSNL Redirection

Hi!

Are you guys (on bsnl) getting redirected to this? It says BSNL,Karnataka on the tab and provides some sort of a free firmware upgrade for the routers they provide. Each time I download it (roughly 160Mb), even after a successful download, their installer client aborts stating that the download timed out. Now I'm not expecting anything high outta this offer from bsnl but are any of you other guys facing this issue? I'm using win7 x64

Recently I was getting redirected to that site whenever I open any browser. Now after formatting and reinstalling XP it doesn't happen. But unknowingly I clicked on the link you provided and fear it may start now!:S

Yeah I too came across the same thing at my friends place. Good thing we didnt waste our time trying to download it!

it happened like twice today alone..and im from mizoram..

don't know whats with bsnl these days..

Happened to me couple of times.close tab.reopen it from trash can.annoying,yeah!

What kind of firmware weighs in at 160MB (!) :crazy:

^ No idea! But they state that its not countable as chargeable download.

It's BSNL's DNS that's causing this problem. Use opendns or google dns to avoid this issue.
