Ive 25 - 28k in my hand, thinking of going for amd 64 config
Got this from some other thread posted by Stalker

Between 37-40k you can have one sweet system

Asus K8n 5.5k
AMD 2800 5.5k
512MB DDR 400 2.2k
80GB Hard drive Segate Cuda 2.8k
xfx 6600GT 11k
Cabinet with SMPS 1.6k
52x CDRW 1.5k
17" samsung monitor 5.8k

Im think ill go for this config without the optical mouse(already have one) and without the 6600gt (have a 5200) will upgrade later.

Btw stalker this board does not support pci x while gt is a pci x card, is it a typo or something else.

Please comment on this config or suggest something else below 28k.
 
If u'r not buying 6600gt, you should get msi rs480m2 instead of k8n, 'cause its got excellent integrated video as good as geforce 6200 and much better then u'r current fx5200 and also got pci-e, and socket 939, so upgrading would be easy in future.
The complete rig then with above spec(minus the 6600gt) would then work out to be 28k.
And also one more thing u can do is ,sell u'r fx5200, and get more 256MB RAM more, 'cause integrated video would eat up some RAM
 
sounds like a good config , the 6600gt is available in agp but when u decide to get one try the leadtek one, the heatsink looks a bit better than xfx

seagate 80gig is 3k for sata and 2.6k for pata

Wouldnt term an X300se as much better to anything a 128bit fx 5200 will be better

AMD 2800 5k.................................AMD 3000+ ....7k (939)....cant use ur existing card ...5200......sell it nd get sme more money nd as suggested get ram or a combo drive

u can add up the rest of the components with the remaining money.....try to go for the 939 socket....wud b better now

Yeah I posted this on another thread.
Yup you get the 6600Gt in both AGP and PCI.
If you are not buying the video card then minus 11k
SO 38k-11k

Socket 939 is better but again it would cost more.
 
pci-e gt shud be a bit cheaper,at one point of time it was

also,msi onboard braphic may not oc,may give less perform,also graphics may be equivalent to x300se,how is that near g6200?

why not 754,nforce 4 msi,pcie
or 939 agp
