Galvanizer
So here is another Rashi negligence tale.

I had purchased a Sansa sandisk Express 2 GB from Alpha last November. It died (only the initial display screen would show up and then no response), so I took it for RMA to Rashi. I gave it for RMA on Feb 13 this year. I have been repeatedly called them every week for the status. Twice they told me they had it in stock, I went there and they said it went out of stock. Last Thursday I went there, and told them I don't mind if they give me a Sansa Clip instead of the Sansa Express. The Manager their (Mahesh) agreed to this and said that the stock would be there within 2 days and asked me to call.

So I called up today all expectant that finally my misery will be over to get a rude shock. He says the product will not arrive anytime soon and is ready to give a credit note. But there is a catch. I bought the player for 2.5 K from Alpha. But Rashi is giving me a credit note of only 1.5 K. I feel angry and frustrated.:@ :@ :@

I have mailed their India support. Tried calling the number, but it says the number is invalid.

Any suggestions in this regard will be more than welcome. I just wanted a good player, and here is what I have got !

Thanks,

Mallik

yet another rashi goofup....i've noticed apart from gfx cards , everything else is on luck ........i guess the credit note is something which equals the market value at that time......find out the "current" market price and demand the same.......

^^ I don't think the credit note should be for the current market rate. I got a credit note for approx 14k+ (I think) for a 939 board last year which obviously wasn't worth that much at the time of RMA. I don't remember but I think that was near about the same price I had paid when I'd bought the board (more than 2 years prior to RMA).

Having said that, it took me 3/4 months of hassling for a repair before they offered the credit note. Took another month or so to get the credit note. Rashi is the only reason I stay away from Asus boards.

Y boycott....Bash them left right center, freaks!!...:@

When ll we act:|.....I got my mx5021 replaced by em..wen the subs didnt respond as it should be..took 1 month tho but finally peace of mind.

Unless you shout at them or make a big fuss, you are not gonna get anywhere. Trust me. I managed to full cashback on a 6 Month old A7N8X-E Deluxe. Not a credit note, but full CASH Back.

Being Calm doesn't help with Rashi guys..i do think that 1.5k is bit less..demand them the same player as a replacement if not, credit note nearer to 2.5k ..(or atleast 2.2 k ?)

yea its the distri for asus, creative and altec lansing among other brands. Any RMA issues have to be done through them. My A8N-E fan died on me and it took a month to get a new fan! Or it was a new mobo im not sure but it took a month and plenty of calls

oh man, that means these are the ppl shops go to for RMA's as well.

Someone should let the vendors of these products know what a fine job this Rashi is doing :(

Update: I pestered the manager at Rashi in person and lately daily on phone, and he has agreed to give me a Sansa Clip in exchange (got a call from the manager today). Keeping my fingers crossed ! My perseverance pays! :P Lately I had started to feel my cause was doomed, but I kept calling every day. last time they had agreed to give me back my dead piece, which I was planning to take to the Sandisk people directly. But I am glad I don't have to go through that hassle anymore.

Note to self: Check that the product you are buying is not RMAed by Rashi !

Cheers !
