They manufacture the following anti radiation products as well

  • Heart guard for keeping in top pocket for those who keep their mobile there
  • Radiation safe paints for medical facilities
  • Invertor cover
  • Transformer cover
  • Fridge cover
  • AC cover
  • Microwave cover/apron
  • Curtains

I was wondering whether these things work or are they overhyped.

Some text from net
WHY ARE MOBILE PHONES DANGEROUS ?

Recent press, television and radio reports have reinforced opinions which question the long term safety of using a mobile phone and the harm it could do to a human body.

More and more scientists are studying mobile phones and the resultant problems people may encounter when using them. For example one such research program claims that the radiation from mobile handsets can prevent the ability of white blood cells to fight disease.

This study involved taking white blood cells, or lymphocytes from a donor and exposing them to different electric fields. It was found that only a third of cells exposed to microwaves from a mobile phone on standby mode were able to function after three hours. The researchers claim that the immune system is partially controlled by electro magnetic fields emitted by the body and that the microwave radiation from a mobile phone interferes with these fields undermining the immune systems ability to function.

Top Tips to reduce the radiation when using your mobile
Use an anti radiation device to neutralise the radiation

Keep it slightly away from ear when talking

Keep calls short up to 4 mins

Use a hands free/loudspeaker particularly for longer calls

Turn off in bad signal areas as the radiation emitted is much stronger

Carry it in your bag, rather than in pockets, as the radiation emitted may cause damage to the parts of the body the phone is always close to

Also found this links on anti-radiation clothing by levis

So do they really pose as grave a threat?

Yeh get some good anti radiation cover for mobile phones .. later get signal boosters to cancel the effect :P .

Do they make a lead suit for doomsday? btw, interested in those mobile phone covers. GO??

If you really want one, you can really buy one.

I had read about the risks of people becoming impotent after prolonged exposure to radiation :P as most men usually keep their mobiles in their trouser pockets. There were some reports about risk to the heart as well. Don't know how much of all this is true though.

:P These things started out as medical products (for use in medical institutions). So you can get a lead suit. This company sells clothing and innerwear for starters.

I dont think enough members would be interested in these products but if needed I can get a GO and detailed product listing.

Its a classical dilemma.

When you keep it in:

trouser: face a risk of infertility & lower sperm count

Shirt Pocket:Risk of Heart attack

so what are you willing to sacrifice :bleh:

Total BS I say. There is a maximum "Specific absorption rate" of 1.6 watts per kilogram (W/kg) taken over a volume of 1 gram of tissue that must be adhered to by phone companies.

On a side note, a tin-foil-hat will go nicely with the radiation guard. What do you say?

I just hope all companies adhere to these norms strictly. I am really doubtful of those Chinese ones in the market though.
