hey guys
I am using NOD32 3.0 for a quiet long time..but have heard about a new antivirus called NET PROTECTOR. does ne1 know abt this antivirus? has ne1 used it??

stay away from Net Protector, seriously it is useless Antivirus.

Even Eset's latest version i.e V5 can't remove threats thoroughly, bad score at independent tests.

IMO best free security setup Avira + Comodo FW + MBAM + SAS + Norton DNS/Open DNS

Hii,i have heard about this AV.It is an INDIAN ANTIVIRUS JUST LIKE QUICK HEAL and due to this it is available in the soft market.

It is not good at all ,although Quick HEAL is definitely better than NET PROTECTOR.

+1 to AIS.

STICK WITH ESET,it is the best.

Nod32 Internet security is kinda enough for the normal usage...

It does protect from new viruses,trojans,etc which we see in our colleges,neighbours pcs

But you are internet keeda... and download any stuffs warez,porn etc then you need good setup.Comodo FW,etc

I would reccon that you stay away from net protector, the simple reason it could be some sort of rougeware. It is a lesser known or unknown product and if you have ESET NOD32 installed, i suggest better choice is to upgrade it to the latest version 5 and continue with it. If you feel you needed added security, get ESET smart security 5 and malwarebytes anti-malware and super antispyware. This combination is more then sufficient.

i am using Avira Premium security suite.. no problem since from one year.. awesome antivirus..

my other antivirus S/Ws:

Kaspersky 2011

Bit Defender

Been using Microsoft Security Essentials since 2.5 years, never had a problem! Using it on one PC & two Laptops on my home.

Now switched to Avast + Comodo Personal Firewall + SpyBot + CCleaner + MS Sec Essentials + AntiMalware + USB Threat Defender

I also have a dedicated Hardware Firewall not everyone wud prefer it.
