Can someone recommend me any alternative laptop in 35k range with

  • good looks
  • great display for HD videos
  • Nice build quality

Sony VAIO E 35EN is my first choice. any other recommendations ??

Sony VAIO E 35EN :::::
Additional 2 GB RAM + 500 GB HDD costs ~ 35k+ ( no additional warranty )

Thanks in advance

Lenovo Ideapad Z570 seems to be good among the 4 in performance. But does lenovo has good build quality because some of my friends had bad experience with Lenevo like overheating, battery issues etc. Somebody told me that lenevo laptops are not as durable as Vaio.

Among Lenovo Ideapad Z570 and Vaio what will you choose ?

No second thought mate, go for the Vaio. Other better configured laptops are there, but definitely sacrificing on some points which are your major priorities, especially the display.

Had anyone thought of Samsung N series laptops. .. someone just told me that new models in samsung laptops are great in 35k range. when nothing goes by my side Vaio E35 will be my choice but still I am trying to look for the best in this range.

Any reviews about samsung laptops ?

Thanks!!

Nothing wrong with Samsung laptops, but since they're new entrant into the market, I trust them less than Vaios.

Lenovo z570 does have a good built.. (atleast compared to my xps 15) i don't know much about viao..
Z570's screen quality is poor as compared to my xps... it has some kinda Yellow tint in it...
you can go for viao... if viao has better screen..
but Z570 has nVidia GT540M whereas E 35EN has GT410M(that too 512MB)

Requirements of OP clearly specify that he doesn't intends to game or any 3D related work. So, a dGPU is out of the scenario.
