Car & Bike Any Better cruiser than Avenger?

I am going to the Royal Enfield showroom today to see why there is so much hype around the phat-phatias among boys or should i say men?

Basically i dont want to lose on any options as this maybe the last bike of my life...
 
^lol, the low end torque in the RE thunderbird is very good. Its not all about that phat phat. But you'll have to take a good care of the RE's else it'll give up on you (atleast what i have seen).
 
OK I'm with Aladdin on the Phat Phatiyas. Not that I hate 'em but I got a Royal cramp in my leg when I just sat on a Thunderbird :ashamed: So I stay as far as I can from those RE's as far as riding is concerned. Pillion im fine with :bleh: And Aladdin your build or rather body structure must suit the bike. For RE's you must have quite some muscles (fat also will do here) or else u must have height. And only a Electricity pole wont do you must have some mass at least or else handling a RE will become a Royal PITA for you. Lots of ppl find a Unicorn a little too tall but I am just fine with it. I had clicked my photos on a Avenger trust me I was looking as if a bull was riding a tricycle :ashamed: no literally :bleh:
 
I am just back from the Enfield showroom in Bhandup.

Thunderbird really really FTW!! Its bloody different!! :O :frusty:

I WANT NOTHING ELSE BUT THE THUNDERBIRD NOW ! The dual spark one ! I dont know how i didnt notice this bike on the road.

BTW, i am 5'10 and weigh 78 kilos. So i am fine in the health department.

And now i need to go that extra mile to make my dad understand what i feel for the bike. + the guy at the showroom told me to wait around 30 days after booking :(

So the wait is gonna be long :((

And the price is 107807/- on road
 
Another thing you would have to remember is that avg on the RE's are not as Royal as the name. So if you need to commute a long distance then RE's are off the list. And also RE's weren't ride comfy with me; but that's me; so you might check that too.
 
Going to book thunderbird twinspark today. :hap2:

But the around 45 days wait period is PITA. :(
 
Guys, Avenger's build quality may be pathetic. You think ANY Royal Enfield will be better? :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

RE's are pretty much the WORST bikes to have if you want hassle free biking everyday.
 
Guys i have booked the bike and now the wait period begins...
But help me out selecting the colour of the bike. Should i buy black or red? I liked red but my dad says black. Its not that i am completely against black but i personally liked red. Which colour would u pick up?

I wud prefer the bottle green.. looks different
but since my friend already has that color, i wud get BLACK :D
 
I would suggest Red but I don't think you prefer talking to me or taking my opinion anymore as said by you on the afternoon of 4th October 2008 :)
 
I would get black..the silver part of the rest, looks good on it..

You'l get bored of the red after some time..

Plus black wil match wid all your clothes:P
