hey guys , Any experience with chaintech boards ?

am plannin to go for the chaintech nf4 ultra ... dont need the firewire and wud be moderately overclocking ...and a price tag of 95$ is just perfect . not so sure of chaintech quality ... am also plannin on gettin a Rosewill x800xl .... design is exactly similar to the reference model plus has positive reviews so not so skeptical abt it .... if any one cud suggest some better combo ?..... am gettin a 3000+ winnie from Mumbai itself .

Chaintech m/b - very good value for money. o/c capability limited.

You might consider waiting for the imminent release of DFI nF4-DAGF. a cheaper model of nf4-ultra D. tentatively it should be priced below $100.

Rosewill x800 xl - better go for "sapphire" brand. only about $25 more than rosewill but the built quality and components used is higher quality.

How about BBA cards ....are sapphire better than them ?

I wouldnt buy a board from abroad, warranty is a concern for me.I would better buy a board locally so i am sure about warranty. After all Mobo is heart of your system.

I would recommend going for the Asus A8N-E board,i bot it few days back, excellent product. It costs around 8500/-

sure , no doubt about that ... the thing is i cannot afford to spend that kind of money right now ...am on a tight budget , hence goin for a chaintech which is @ 4k ...besides my stuff gets checked by my fr before it arrives here .

How about this epox?
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-123-236&depa=1

Its just 113$ after an instant rebate. Has firewire and an extra pci-e slot. I'd go for epox over chaintech anyday!

Most epox boards are decent overclockers.
yea was considering this option before ..... but after reading the review @ hardocp i changed my mind ..... it says it aint a good overclocker besides i dont need firewire ... is epox or chaintech available in mumbai ?

No chaintech is not avialable in mumbai.
since you got time till 2nd week of may i suggest keep a lookout for that DFI m/b i mentioned. you will soon see rave reviews of it on the net in the budget class of m/b's.

both chaintech and this dfi model should be priced the same.

Re: sapphire, They are one of the largest oem for ATI cards itself.
i have found the quality of parts , in the few cards that i had the good fortune to own or check out, to be of very high quality. no compromises whatsoever.
