Long back they used to be a dealer here on TE for some time and TE members had a close relationship with them. But times change. So just wanted to check how has your experience been with them lately. Especially have you ordered anything from their online store?

I am thinking of ordering a high value item and was wondering if I should order online or just drive to their store and purchase.

Ordered a Fractal Design case. Took 3+ weeks to arrive after multiple reminders. But finally got it though without any damage.

You might find better quote while buying directly from their local store.
For some components the price keeps changing every now and then.
Even better, you can call them and get the quote of the product and compare it with their website.
Personally, if you can spare some time you can easily find better quotes from other dealers on Lamington Area.
But if you are buying a product whose sole distributor in India is Primeabgb (in Mumbai) then buy from them only because of after sales support.

If the item is in 6 plus figures, i would suggest for a walk-in.

I have ordered several products from primeabgb over the years, also from onlyssd.com.

Recently ordered an NZXT H1 from them. Got it in about a week. So I would say its still safe to order from them.

Everything is fine, just the delay.
Though they mention in stock but still it takes time. I ordered 2x140mm fans 10 days back and it's shipped yesterday only.
other thing is their Zone charges. Like Zone 1, Zone 2 etc.
they charge rs.500 , 400 and random per unit , like if you order a Mobo + Ram + Fan they 'll charge 1500 for 3 items. 2 Mobo +500 like wise.
don't know what these charges are and can't find more details about it but still it makes the items expensive.
everyother seller like MD comp, vedant charges shipping extra but here PrimeABGB is most expensive though item priced here are like 200-400 cheaper than online competitors.
In my case it's showing rs 500 for 1 fan and for 2 fans I paid rs 900 extra for zone 2 + rs35 label charges.
Overall sevice is good, Phone support lags due to pandemic but their email support is responsive.

I have assembled all the parts from primeabgb except for the gpu which I bought second hand. It was convenient as I just called them up to get the quotes and they worked with me closely on the call. This was a few years back though. More recently (as in this year) I've bought a couple of m.2 ssd from their onlyssd division. So far everything has gone without a hitch. On the flip side I cannot comment on their after sales service since I never had to use it. Probably on the luckier side of things but definitely a good experience for me so far. If price is still competitive I'd say go for it.

Thanks everyone, this helps. Will order online. Had dropped them a mail and got confirmation that it will reach in 4 to 6 days after placing the order.

Just to add to this, if you stay in Mumbai then the prices are a bit lesser than what,s listed on the site.

I bought a PSU from primeabgb last Friday (4th sept). They shipped the order on the same day and I received it on Tuesday (8th sept). I'd say im pretty satisfied with Primeabgb.

I live in Mumbai so Prime is the only store I will go to physically and they are excellent. I had ordered a graphics card online, it got delivered, but on installing it, the fans were making loud noises. Being in Mumbai, I had the option to hop into an ola and go physically to the store. They replaced the card with a new one there and there itself.

Online though shipping is a little slow, other than that had no issues.

They are still good at what they do for the most part although a bit of a hit and miss with the prices now and then and not very bargain friendly. Other than that, great stuff and selection. I've been going to them since the early 2000's.. I was just there this Saturday to pick up a few RAM sticks. What I liked is that they have a ready selection of most stuff unlike other places where they'll usually call suppliers and make you wait a long time to get it.. on the after sales bit, no idea since I haven't had an issue with any stuff bought from them for a while
 
I only had one bad experience in A$$ when I bough my first ddr3 back in 2010, it went bad in 2013 or so and I visited them and asked for assistance. Only bad experience is they denied the my claim for buying it from them as they cross verified it from their system. but they did offered be a RMA assistance for the same so Kinda mix feeling when it comes to A$$.
later on I did found the bill hidden in my files but never when on complaining with it.

Yes Pricing is a hit or miss !
last I bought a SSD from them in 2019.

Did when for system buy in Jan, 2020 but they where charging around 1.5k to 1.6k more so bought it form other local shop where the experience was good for me.

I wish they can at least come to the price quoted by others if a customer want to be loyal to the shop and shopping experience !

Personally I was already on very tight budget, so much that even the plain for buying 32gb was at that time and this month was something I was able to afford it. they should consider such things as a brand and help out the custom sometimes with the pricing.
 
Yes pricing wise they wont budge when others will offer cheaper rates, so most of my stuff has come from another shop, i ordered a Ryzen 3 3100 from them when it was available in India and got it the next day as i live in Mumbai, at that time they weren't using courier service, they would have a local guy go and delivery stuff around Mumbai...
