Unfortunately my unbelievably ass clown of a younger brother deleted my saved games and game patches folder in some immature fit of vengeance as he claimed i deleted a couple of his files... Now i am stuck because some of the games i had played were months old some of the patches i had are no longer available online.. Id really appreciate if someone can help me recover my data....

Any links to working recovery softwares also would be appreciated...

That is what the file recovery softwares are for:

Here are some of the new features in PC INSPECTORâ„¢ File Recovery 4.x:
Finds partitions automatically, even if the boot sector or FAT has been erased or damaged
Recovers files with the original time and date stamp
Supports the saving of recovered files on network drives
Recovers files, even when a header entry is no longer available. Competition products cannot recover such files. The "Special Recovery Function" supports the following disk formats:
ARJ | AVI | BMP | CDR | DOC | DXF | DBF | XLS | EXE
GIF | HLP | HTML | HTM | JPG | LZH | MID | MOV | MP3
PDF | PNG | RTF | TAR | TIF | WAV | ZIP

he has used shift+delete do i have a chance of getting the files back...

yes, if the operation performed is not old...
if you have not writed or readed enough data onto same disk which overwrites the existing data reducing the chances of recovering..

There are a lot of saved games which i need with the help of the software ive got most of my folders back... These saved games were in my documents c drive and i cant find them....

It is recommended not to continue using the disk as some write operation may overwrite the deleted data. Rather if you have another boot disk, use it to boot and install/run the file recovery software and then scan the disk containing the data that is to be recovered.

I use Getdataback program(paid). Very small and efficient recovery program.

And yes, as people have already told, stop using your c drive to boot the pc as your data that you are trying to recover could be overwritten. Plug your hdd in another pc or use a boot disk.

I have used and recovered files on numerous hard disks where data was deleted using a software called File Scavenger. It has worked wonders for me each and every time, provided you have not written anything on to the hard disk much, after your files were deleted. Let me know if you want a link for it.
