I'm thinking of buying a pair of wired headphones and after a few hours of research, I'm thinking of getting the Sennheiser HD 599 (8k-8.5k). It looks pretty decent from all the reddit posts but I'd still like to know if someone thinks there are better headphones out there. I prefer wired but I'm fine with wireless headphones as well as long as the sound quality is not very far off from wired headphones for similar price. In regards to ANC, I'll be using it at home and there isn't much noise there so I don't necessarily care about it. I'll be using it daily with my PC so comfort is essential.

Basically, factors are: Indoors usage, fine with wired, ANC not needed, daily usage with PC, comfort is essential.

Other options I've reviewed are:
  • Sony WH-CH720N
  • Sennheiser HD 450BT
  • Sennheiser Accentum
  • Soundcore Space one

Any suggestions?

Edit: Forgot to mention that I do not require a mic with the headphones.

I would suggest hd25 are best bet under 10k , light version is great too. Portable , foldable ..well kinda , don’t necessarily require amp and amazing sound .

Also I do have a pair of grado sr60s which I am thinking of letting go if anyone’s interested .

Audio-Technica M40x. I use it for music production / video editing as well as general use. The flattest pair of headphones in that budget. I love them to death and will have no regrets if I have to buy another pair today for any reason.

In my opinion, if you can spend a bit of time on a big of software modding, the akg k92 is a very underrated headphone. It gets crap reviews because out of the box it sounds atrocious, but it's supremely comfy and sounds damn close to an ath m50 once you use peace/peace apo to eq it correctly.
I have an ath m50, hd58x, and a bunch of other wired headphones (planars, dual drivers etc )but the akg is my daily driver. It's also not very choosy about source and sounds just fine from my phone (again using wavelet to eq) if you're not looking for super high resolution listening the akg will do just fine.
Amazon has them new for 3k which is a decent deal.

What’s the EQ option for someone who uses iOS?

None other than whatever music player you use supports. There is no systemwide support.
The AKG K92 may not be for everyone, then. For example, I stream music mainly through Spotify or Apple Music on my iOS device, which is why I love my M40xs—they're simple to use, just plug and play. However, the M40x costs about 2.5 times more than the AKGs, so I’m cognisant that it's not the best option for everyone either.

m40x is excellent, at least it was when it was cheaper. It's like a better tuned m50x. They sound flat maybe because the majority is tuned to boost the freq.

Hd5xx series sound very laid back and awesome for low tempo music

Thing is m50x is boosted where's m40x produces perfect rendition of how music recorded was actually meant to be.
Its easy to eq m40x to make it sound like m50x but not vice versa and on top m40x is cheaper. Both awesome picks though.

I still prefer legendry HD25 but m40x are close second .
