Any IDE or Software for a Standalone Desktop Database Application?

I want to know if there is any ide or software that can make standalone desktop database app . . I have a fox pro app which is really old and need to change it . . Plus the big prob that it recognises and uses lpt or dotmatrix printer only so . . Any one who can suggest me an alternative ide or software to make it happen please

Move ahead to Visual Foxpro 9 (Service Pack 2)

For desktop applications, even the Microsoft Access is enough. Use it with Java/C++. Plenty of tutorials/resources available on net.

i used to use mysql with phpmyadmin frontend...try it out
