I guess CL20 vs CL22 not much performance improvemment for the premium price. As we see good deals on DDR4 ram

What will you even do with lower CL ram in laptops when all manufacturers lock their typical laptop models uefi/bios to not allow any ram overclocking?

Those were costlier than 3200MHz. I guess 3200MHz RAM still operate on 2133/2400MHz hardware. In h/w upgrade, you can utilize 3200MHz speed if supported.
