I guess CL20 vs CL22 not much performance improvemment for the premium price. As we see good deals on DDR4 ram

Those were costlier than 3200MHz. I guess 3200MHz RAM still operate on 2133/2400MHz hardware. In h/w upgrade, you can utilize 3200MHz speed if supported.
can anyone confirm if https://www.amazon.in/Crucial-3200M...G4SFRA32A/dp/B08C4Z69LN/ref=asc_df_B08C4Z69LN ram will work with an old laptop ram, it already have a 8gb 2400mhz and mobo also support max 2400mhz.

Higher speed RAM would generally run at the lower frequencies supported by the mobo. If you're not going for a dual channel setup, this would do.
i just want https://www.amazon.in/Crucial-3200MHz-2933MHz-2666MHz-CT8G4SFRA32A/dp/B08C4Z69LN/ not make that laptop unstable or something, or worst case not work. Even if it says 2933 or 2666mhz, it will run at 2400mhz and will be compatible with other ram right?

Yes, it should be fine. I am running a 4GB + 8GB combo in my 8 year old laptop. Don't even remember if the speeds match. Works just fine.
