My kids have had a laptop for a while but up to now they have been happy using the bookmarks I have set up to go to the likes of CBBC, CITV, Etc. However, now my eldest is getting better at reading, writing and spelling I'm starting to get concerned about stuff he might come across on the web. We try where ever possible to be with him when he's surfing anyway so we can keep an eye on things but it's just not possible to be able to be there 100% of the time.
I've been looking at this parental control software and wondered if anyone has any experience of this or an alternative they can suggest? BTW,with remotely monitoring function will be very nice, cos i want to pay en eye to kids when I'm in the office.Thx in advance.

Try some of these :

Net Nanny Parental Controls

Safe Eyes

CYBERsitter

PureSight PC

CyberPatrol

MaxProtect

its parents like u kids hate these days, give the kid some room. U should teach ur kids to embrace technology, he may end up being pretty good at it..

anyway, try creating a user profile with limited access for now!

Absolutely disagree here .... kids should be given room, but that does not mean that he should be exposed to all the shit that is there on the internet these days.

Also better than any firewall limiting the access to computer will be a better option. cos every firewall can be disabled :P

clearly someone hasn't been on the internet for long OR hasn't seen the ugly part of the internet yet.

Do you even know what you are talking? With people like you porn will be dished in local TV channels everyday....?
The kids need room but before anything they need mind on how to use the freedom.

porn is alredy dished out on TV, its nothing worse than internet.

so snooping on ur kids without their knowledge is ethical?
