Any users of Tata Indicom WiMax in Mumbai ?

Is Tata WiMax service available in Mumbai central suburbs like mulund ?

How much is the end user speed ?

How is the connectivity and customer care ?

Are there any inherent problems with WiMax ?

If anyone has experience with them please give your opinions.

Hi Bro,

I am using TATA Broadband WiMax and i am not satisfied with it.

1) I am getting High pings while playing Online games.

2) While using Utorrent, You will get port error unless you are opted for STATIC plans.

3) Poor customer care (I didnt receive response of my prob since 1 week)

o come one .. i was frustrated like you when i got a wimax instead of the usual cable..

but give it a week you will get used to it. i get very good pings... but it keeps jumping sometimes but dont be concerned.

The f@cking annoying thing is ones the connection goes off/interrupted it take freakkin 10minutes + to get back online lol

i play left 4 dead in singapore servers and it rocks.. 89 - 110 pings rarely 125z

but on css i kindaa get small freezes lol i dont know why ! mite be the ping jumps

as for torrents it give me the full performance!! i get what is mentioned !! 256Kbps during day and 1.5Mbps during night..

but i am in cochin >kerala

They have a fair usage policy of max 45gb but i am well over 60gb now

I remember using Reliance WiMax when it was launched, it was horrid. I suggest we should give this guys a miss until they sort their shit out.
