Any way to boost the volume of Ipod Touch speakerphone?

Is there any way to boost the volume from the speakphone on my ipod touch 2G using any firmware trick? Even the highest volume sounds very low and tinny.

I don't think so.

The speakerphone is just for casual listening, no need to unnecessarily put strain on the driver or you might end up with no sound.

Use an audio editing software to increase the overall volume of your MP3s by a few dBs.

You could boost the volume through iTunes itself

Right Click on the song name -> then select Get Info -> then select the amount of boost you want under Options

However there will be cracking of sound above 65-70% or so(atleast in my case it was) you could also try some other software like mp3 gain to do the same.

another thing you could do the is to set the EQ to Loudness.
