Linux Any way to move the subtitles while playing media in Fedora?

Hi.

I am currently running my computer on Fedora 14. It works like silk and apart from the ability to play videogames, it's just about a perfect replacement for Windows.

The major problem I have with Fedora is that (as far as I know) it doesn't have any option to move the subtitles while playing video. I see lots of movies on my PC and they have subtitles (included / separate srt files). They are shown over the video, which is slightly irritating and seems like a waste of space. Quite a few of my videos are in 2.35:1 ratio and they have black bars above and below the video. If there was any way to move the position of subtitles.

For the record, I currently have the default Media Player and VLC. I tried that option in VLC of moving the subtitles by +/- pixels, but it didn't work. I disabled the OSD action but it didn't make a difference. Any other way?

Why don't you try SMplayer. It has "T" for move down and "R" for moving subtitles up. And you can also increase or decrease the Subtitles font size in it.
