anyone carry a lcd monitor in flight?

has anyone taken it as a carry on luggage within your hand luggage , is it allowed?
i dont want to pack it in my clothes , it might break , so any pointers?

^What size and where to where is the transit? 32inchers and above - You cannot stow it in the overhead compartment and may have to keep it in front of the front seats. Not sure if they'd allow it in the cabin baggage either going by the size of it.

If you can manage to have it packed with wood, you can safely bring it through the checked baggage. Have some stickers stuck on all side which mentions the transported goods are fragile. There's a slight risk involved though.

Yeah i have couple of times, along with Antec P180 cabinet with complete system. try to pack the monitor box into another little bigger box. I just got bubble wrap and covered the monitor box 2-3 times with it and put a carton box on it and lotsa sellotape .....

EDIT:- monitor was 22" and system was packed in a large size suitcase, which i purchased just for the P180 :lol:

i had give both in check-in baggage, with handle with care written on all sides on A4 paper.

its just a 20 incher , it can fit into my backpack
