Anyone ordered anything from deal extreme / focal price / MP4Nation to Australia ??

One of my friends' is going to Australia and when he is there he may be ordering a media player (ainol, onda, nationite etc) from either deal extreme / focal price / MP4nation.
Now these websites usually ship through normal Hongkong Post (free shipping). So i wanted to know whether there is any customs issue when the package reaches Australia ??
Will he have to pay anything over what he has already paid at the merchant at the time of ordering???
Also what was the ETA of arrival of the product after it is shipped. In India i know i can go upto 2-3 months.

Ordered few tit-bits from DX and focal price.. Don't remember the exact shipping time, let me quickly browse through my inbox to find out the invoice..

Ok I guess that was delivered within 10 days IIRC..

ive ordered for some headphones when my wife was there, no issues with anyhing , took about 10 days to get to her, this was from dx.
 
Sorry for bumping this up, but don't think its worth creating a new thread for.

I ordered a helmet bluetooth headset and it arrived in Chennai\India on 04/12/12 but has been in customs ever since (atleast according to the tracking details at India Post | Home). What are the formal and/or recommended routes I can take to speed up its processing at customs?
 
@Grease Monk : If the status is similar to "Sent for customs clearence" and there has been no update for a while, mostly its because they have held the package and need more details before they clear it. You will probably get a registered letter from the customs department asking you to visit the Foreign Post office with purchase invoice and other details.

Ordered a lot of gadgets from DealExtream.. for under $2 they have some insane options.

1. Shipping has always been free.
2. Takes roughly a months time for the products to reach ur place in case of jinxed orders (thats a only low point )
