Anyone using static site generators for blogging?

I was wondering if anyone here using static site generator tools for blogging, instead of wordpress or blogger..

It doesn't look like anyone here is. But they're the next big thing.
But I'd imagine setting it up would be complicated, and you'd have to be running a pretty small site.

I've used Drupal with a MongoDB back end instead of MySQL, and it was 10x faster
