Budget 20-25K Anyone wanna share their experience with poco X6 pro

Thinking of buying the same for my brother.
Do share your experience if you have used it.
Thanks
I was about to post my experience about poco x6 pro but I saw this thread hence sharing it here .

The phone battery backup is really bad , my mom has been complaining a lot about the phone , she has been charging 3 times a day .
Earlier she used note 7 pro by redmi and she said battery lasted whole day .
Her usage is mainly YouTube . But I think poco x6 pro screen is drawing way too much battery as compared to her previous phone .

I would recommend not to buy .

I purchased this a couple of days earlier for my brother.
The battery is okay not good not bad as far as i can tell.i would estimate only 6 hours sot while streaming yt on wifi
The phone heats up as expected while gaming on wifi, i cant say if it overheats on 4g/5g.
The idle drain on night is between 2-3 percent on 4g network.

This is not as efficient as snapdragon chips in its price range, but certainly not by much.
However its the gpu performance that makes it a compelling buy for gamers, sacrificing a bit of battery life along the way. Wouldnt recommend this to someone who doesnt game on phones.
Also 0 development vs snapdragon chips even tho kernel sources are already released.

Yeah I made a mistake buying it . I feel the screen which mi is using just draw more power . And yes phone heats up as well . It remains mild warm even though we are not using the phone .

Sounds like there's some sort of issue with your unit, unfortunately. QC issues are common in such cheap phones, especially Poco. So, try raising this issue with a service centre.

In my usage I was particularly impressed by the idle drain. Just last week it lasted about 40hrs, although screen time would've been somewhere between 3-5hrs. In my usage, battery drains as expected while gaming, but stays solid when not in use. I've shared my experience here. I don't have any record for the battery backup, but have a few screenshots of benchmarks that I ran (attached).

Would recommend only if all your brother cares about is gaming and is on a tight budget. I find the performance to be somewhere between 8+ gen 1 and 8 gen 2.

@BullettuPaandi yes, he wanted a gaming phone around 20k.
i recommended to go with 8gb variant for 25k.
but after some help from samir, we got the 12gb,512gb for around 25.2k
I personally would ask people to wait for poco f6, rumoured to have 8 gen2 for around 30k

No don’t go for mi brand . Just go for Iqoo oppo or vivo brand . I think there hardware is fine . Also they don’t compromise with battery backup
Would have to do better considering Iqoo neo 9 pro is quite close with better reputation.
Yes I don’t have problem with idle time of the phone I think . Screen on time is less. Can you share the screenshot of your screen on time ?

isnt the iqoo one around 35k?
Also iqoo has better reputation?
i thought people were more favourable towards mi because of custom development and being an older brand.(barring the poco motherboard fiasco)

Sure. Attached for the last week that I was talking about. I remember charging on Sunday early morning; and then on Friday night after gaming.

You're right in saying 'were'. Several factors are in play, but I'll try to cover what I know. Most of us really seem to not want Chinese products. Our Govt. is also getting increasingly protectionist. So, Xiaomi's just-call-it-by-a-new-name tactic is not cutting it anymore. They've now resorted to public outcry - [LINK]

As for Iqoo, I think 'premiumisation' has worked well for them, as with many other corps., take Kia for example. Basically, starting off with selling flagships and then getting into budget markets with a premium appeal. Although, Iqoo basically undercut OnePlus, for budget minded customers it'd feel like they're making premium features accessible. They also seem to care about often overlooked things like stability & thermals, which their target audience love.

Most companies are. But I don't if it's the name or what, most buyers don't seem to know that, say Iqoo, OnePlus are all Chinese, but sure as shit they seem to know that Xiaomi is.
This is at least in my experience/circle.

I think the biggest problem for me with iqoo is that they don't allow to unlock the bootloader. Custom rom support is I think a really big deal as it can allow for your device to last longer. Xiaomi has also made it harder now to unlock bootloader with HyperOS, but at least it's possible, and they have a big community of developers.

I recently needed a backup phone for international travel. So impulsively bought the Poco x6 pro. I don't game at all. My 2 cents about my use case:
Pros:
Performance is very good::
1. PDFs load faster
2. CCTV footage loads faster
3. Zoom meetings are smooth
4. Camera recordings are very very smooth
5. Battery boost 67w charging literally means i can charge in my work-day's 15min break
6. I don't need to carry laptop charger anymore, as this 67w charger is good for my 65w usb c charging laptop and vice versa. So my work bag weight is Phone (190g) + charger & cable + laptop (980g). :) :)
7. Display is very bright and nice
8. Sound is very loud: For ringtone, and music
9. 12GB Ram, 512GB UFS 4.0 storage for 29k is value

Cons:
1. Heats up in intensive tasks, specially while charging
2. Proximity sensor is virtual based
3. Miss the Samsung ecosystem sometimes.
4. Not ultra polished

I have no issue in battery as fast charging makes up for it. (Im comparing it to Samsung phones which i was previously using at double the cost)

Update: putting a battery usage screenshot.
Typical work day, lots of Whatsapp and calls.
Charged only in morning. Will do a short burst 20min charge around 7pm now.

Also: I love the 450+ppi 1.5k display with refresh rate always at recommended (60-120hz) which usually stays at 120hz when using the phone.
