Aoe3 crashing on my pc??

Hi guys,
I have a strange problem with aoe3.
when i load up a campaign,at the start.the dialogues and the sound at the intro are very crampy.
Also randomly in middle of the game the game crashes and returns to desktop.
I have the same problem with the demo also.
But when i play with no sound it plays fine.
I have a creative audigy 2zs card.
i also tried uninstalling the card drivers and ran with my onboard sound.
But same problem.
The problem is only with this game,all other games are working fine.
 
blueyesdude, first thing is have you applied the latest aoe3 patch, next try to reduce the details & play. last is update your directx and graphics drivers.

post if it does not solve your problem.
 
woo hoo! Shold consider my self lucky..

Played and finished AOE3 with my Geforce MX4000 128 and onboards sound..

yea i know.. I SERIUOUSLY need a graphics car upgrade...
 
Yup,
Patched the aoe3 with ver 1.03,solved the problem.
Also in the readme,they have mentioned that the game has crashing probs with creative sound cards.
Anyhow the game runs superb on my 9800pro.
