AOM, Rise of Titans & AOE

Hi all,
I'm an average Joe. I play games so they relax me & not to be competitive. The AOM & its expansion Rise of Titans were good as they were easily playable as one could tell how simple/difficult it wanted the game to be. Also played AOE but found it slightly harder. Anybody knows of any good games in that genre with age-build & everything (like the hunter,gatherer,farmer, to super-age change scenarios) with the poor man's rig. Experiences & suggestions (except about upgrading) welcome.
 
kumar I'm living on an aging 845 chipset my friend, so although ROL would be something in the future, dawn of war doesn't seem to be greek/roman mythology stuff. Need fix of that era/music
 
Try Empires:Dawn of the modern world or Empire EarthII or Rise of nations(all games with variable settings thoughout history but age-build & everything gameplay). You have'nt yet played Aok? It's brilliant and will make you fall in love with medieval history for sure.

If you want strictly roman settings, you can try rome total war or CaesarIII or even Zeus but these games do not possess age series styled gameplay.

By far, the best game to look out for right now is Rise and Fall which will release abroad on 12th June. It will feature the romans and greeks among other nations. It does'nt look like a graphically powerfull game either. More along the line of Aom actually.

believe me this is awesome....i used to be a fan of AOM & AOE (cause of my sys performanc...:P of my older 550mhz) after playing RA2 i got addicted to it...its' completely awesome game...try it...

Age of Empires 3 will probably run, however try at lowest settings.

I tried the demo probably on a school computer and it ran.
