Using first model (1000VA) from last 7-8 months with no problems...
It will be more than enough for your requirements..

^ What are your rig specs?
The BR1100 is rated for 660W. A GS600 at a full 600W load will draw ~750W at the mains. Of course there's no way your rig will be running at 600W.

My specs are :

AMD Phenom II x4 965BE
Asus HD4870 1GB DK top edition
4 GB DDR3 1333Ghz
1x1TB , 1X320GB HDD
Dell ST2220 22" Led

P.S. My proccy and GPU is infamous for drawing tremendous power as compared to these days GPU's and Proccies.

Am really confused. On the other hand, I want to know, why that 1KVA is costlier than 1.1KVA? Just and only because of that LCD and high techs? Or there is some other backup difference also?

Your rig won't use more than 400W peak. Thats 500W at the mains. Add another 30W for your LCD monitor and thats 530W totally. Will do fine with either UPS.

UPS Calculation is like this

VA X 60% = Max Power that can be drawn

i.e
in your case 1KVA

1000 x .6 = 600 Watts max you can draw (Ofcourse you can draw more but that what APC recommend)

If your PC draws 530 W then 1KVA ll suffice your need.(<600W)[DOUBLEPOST=1370330988][/DOUBLEPOST]Get 1.1 KVA thats what i m using for past 1 year. No prob so far and you can save 2 k cash. its 5.2K in grey market btw

Sorry to Barge in..
My old UPS conked off.. so I just got myself an APC UPS today (after a bit of research and headache). Actually I just connected it, started the PC...and saw this thread.

It is the same one that Harshit has mentioned
APC 1000VA ( 1 KVA ) 600W Back UPS Pro 1000 UPS) w/ AVR BR1000G-IN
got it for Rs 7600 from Vashi (Navi Mumbai).
The UPS looks great.. Hope it will work great too :)
