Does anybody know where can i buy APC UPS smart serial cable.

Where are you from ?

if you are from mumbai then you can try to find it at lamington road,grant road east

dont know about other places or you can also search on ebay or other sites

Lucknow. But i am not in the country at present and thus would prefer to buy online. I could only find an expensive cable on ebay.

Curious you need a serial cable.

Don't you have a USB option with your APC UPS ?

I do have a USB option. However, the manual calibration of the UPS can only be done with a serial cable. Check this for details.

Hey the serial cable is nothing but RS232. I know that its pretty hard to find one these days. I guess they should have provided one with the box. I got one along with the retail packing. But its not that easy to calibrate this particular UPS by ourself. You can log a ticket with APC technical team and if your unit is under warranty they should be able to do it for free

normal serial cable won't work with apc smart ups. any way you are supposed to get the serial cable along with the ups. you can check with the dealer from where you got the ups.

You can either try to build one or failing that get it from the US.

Have you contacted your local APC office did they have any ideas ?

APC assembles their UPS in Karnataka so would think chances are good of finding the cable you want here itself.
