BERLIN: Switzerland's national rail company is accusing Apple of stealing the iconic look of its station clocks for the iOS 6 operating system used by iPhone and iPad mobile devices. Both designs have a round clock face with black indicators except for the second hand which is red.

An SBB spokesman says the rail company is "proud" the tech giant chose to copy the 68-year-old design.
But Reto Kormann told Associated Press on Friday that Apple hadn't asked for permission before doing so.
Kormann says SBB will seek an amicable agreement and compensation from Apple.
An Apple representative in Germany declined to comment immediately on SBB's claim.
Apple itself has launched several patent, design and trademark claims against rival companies in the past.

Damn hypocrites. :annoyed:

Oh Yeah....Someone please sue the fruit.
On the other hand, Nice to know that apple does copy ideas. Let some sense enter into apple after Steve Jobs.

"does copy"?? they do copy bro.. none of us are "copy-free" and if someone denies that, he isnt justifying his own self (Apple is no exception here)

The basic device a phone itself is a copy. Loading it with a smartphone status is another copy. The list goes on and on. But they have copyrights and sometimes they do sell or lease those. I agree. But Off late the stance taken by Apple with regards to patents is a little annoying.

When it all was over,
We had to find another place.
But Swiss time was running out,
It seemed that we would lose the race.

I do hope Motorola sues the hell out of apple and bans every product that Google and Motorola claims every patent of theirs that apple infringes upon. apple has no defence against Motorola's vast patent pool. they invented mobile technology. Apple may have the patent for round edges and buttons but Motorola owns the patents to the very function of mobiles.

Which brings out the question: Why hasnt Apple been sued enough by other companies till now ...?

Apple is suing Samsung for ~$700M. They want all Samsung phones banned in the US. Second litigation.

^ I am not asking about 'AIMS TO' plans.
I am more interested in Why it was not done till now.

Apple was sued in June 2012
Judge Posner Rips Apart Apple's Patent Litigation Strategy: Being 'Really Annoyed' Is No Reason To Sue | Techdirt
First paragraph in link provided by sunny27 even mentions it.
Previously, Google (via its subsidiary Motorola Mobility) and Apple had fought each other to a standstill with Judge Richard A. Posner, a Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals judge moonlighting in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois (Chicago). Posner twice dismissed the pair's suits/countersuits with prejudice arguing that both side effectively just wanted to ban the other's products and wasn't looking for legitimate damages.
