It seems that Apple is going all out in developing their next generation of smartphones and tablets, and they plan to introduce them quicker than ever. Apple is moving to a new product cycle, a shorter one of just 6 months in place of it's usual 1 year. The new iPad 4 is already proof of that. Now, Apple is in talks with Sharp to use their revolutionary new low power consuming IGZO displays for the upcoming devices, the iPhone 5S?
Apple's New Strategy

Apple's new strategy involves making development cycles shorter and adding features every 6 months and building a new product. This seems a nice deal instead of a yearly update making some revolutionary changes (hardly the case with any of the new generation Apple products which include the iPad 4, iPad Mini or the iPhone 5. The new iPod Touch is pretty good though!).

This sort of development cycle will confuse the consumers. Buying a costly smartphone or tablet, only to buy another one equally costly with just a few additional features or changes in just 6 months is simply infuriating to some, frustrating to many others who spent their hard earned money to get the best! And this new development cycle is more to Apple's benefit (mainly profit) than anyone or anything else. The new iPad (3) was quickly replaced with the iPad 4 only because the new chipset made the iPad 4 a cheaper product to manufacture (more profits, there you have it). However, the final product price remains the same.

Now, Apple is in talks to use Sharp's IGZO display panels. IGZO is for Indium, Gallium & Zinc Oxide. These screens are even thinner and consume much lesser power at the same time.

With the new product cycle, we might be seeing a new iPhone 5S, 2nd generation iPad Mini 2 as well as the 5th generation iPad 5 around June 2013 itself. :)o)
