apple ipod from indiaplaza??

i got the 4gb new nano(3rd gen) from india plaza for 6415 ..it was delivered in 2 days ...was totally sealed packed brand new and checked the warranty on apple US site..it shows warranty till December next year so i guess theres warranty ..

do apple products/i pods have world wide warranty ?
 
^nope they dont have worldwide warranty..u have to buy from the authorized dealer in ur country to get warranty...although indiaplaza might be genuine...
 
a frnd of mine bought it frm indiaplaza but he didnt get ny bill.

but as faheem said it shows warranty till December next year on apple site

yeah even i didnt get any bill only the warranty booklet along with the manual was there ...in the nano box..so checked the warranty on apples site using my ipods serials number and it showed warranty till december 08

what does this mean ?? will i get service from apple india or will i have to send it to US for warranty purpose..if something..goes terribly wrong with the i pod(just hope nothin like that happens)
 
^^thts the same thing i m concerned abt. and wud u recommend sify/rediff/indiatimes for ipod?

sify is selling the nano4gb model for 6150/- thru ITMALL

do check the local market as well before ordering online ..
 
its not available in local market. besides i have some money in my paymate account tht i can use and pay remaining frm my pocket
 
guys apple provide worldwide warranty and you don't need any bill to claim warranty.

Apple rules in terms of warranty.
 
^try returning an ipod bought outside india...then ull know..the buggers dont even repair it saying its from outside india...
 
wot wud b the under warranty model of ipod nano4gb available in india for?

and which wud the online best store to buy from among these: sify, rediff, indiatimes, indiaplaza in terms of security?? sify thru itmall is selling for 6150net
