CPU/Mobo Apple Mac Mini M1 vs M4

I've been using a Macbook M1 Air (16/256GB) for more than three years now. It's still as fast as the day I bought it. My daily work involves running a Python server in a docker container, local NodeJS server, two VS Code windows (one for code in the host machine and one for the code inside Docker container), two Chrome windows and one Firefox window. The little Air takes all of that like a champ while running Apple Music in the background.

So, anyone with a similar requirement can go for this without any second thoughts.

GLWS!

I am still holding my purchase of m4 mac mini because this specs.. does what I need to do very efficiently that is video editing 4k.
So yes very decent price for a very decent stuff.

16gb M1 Mac is totally worth it, runs like a beast for ur day to day work. (unless you are looking for 4K editing)..
Now that M4 Mac Mini is available for as low as 49-50k, I feel excitement among prospective buyers would have down for M1 devices.
I do 4k editing don't see a problem unless maybe some one is using lot of layers.

If it's normal editing with decent layers . This is still makhan.

I’m in the market for a mini and agree with you. However recent benchmarks show that M4 is about 2x faster CPU, 3x GPU (source: Cinebench). Add in 1yr warranty, improved speakers and much smaller footprint, it makes more sense to spend 50k on a new one.
