Apple reveals quarter 3 sales numbers

Apple has revealed their third quarter earnings report as per the products sold across its portfolio. The iPad leaped 84 percent YoY (Year over Year) to a whopping 17 million units sold unsurprisingly thanks to the launch of the retina display iPad 3.
iPhone sales were also up to 26 million units sold which is a 28 percent increase over the last year. This was a growth of 28 percent, and it is estimated that it is so cause people are suspecting the launch of a larger screen iPhone, as soon as in October this year. There was a bit of gloom in the camp also as the sales for the Mac only went up 2 percent, that too this much after the launch of the Retina Display MacBook Pro, and also the sales of the iPod line dropped 10 percent YoY, at 6.8 million this quarter.
Apple reported a profit of $8.8 Billion, and $35 Billion in revenues.
