Hoped no one would notice

It has been said that if Apple stuck its badge on a brick, it would find a fan boy dumb enough to buy it and insist that it was the best PC he had ever owned. After all Apple often has the power to turn its iPhones into bricks if its owners do not do what Steve Jobs says.

However it seems that this is not the case. Consumerist reader Ryan was sold an actual brick in a box instead of the MacBook Pro. Rather than be over joyed with his $2,000 brick he has actually dared to complain. He took the brick back to Best Buy in Texas but they said that the problem is with Apple who sold the brick in a sealed box.

Ryan hasn't sorted out the problems with his credit card company, Best Buy, or Apple yet as it seems that no one will admit responsibility. Clearly someone in Apple is nicking the MacBook Pro, selling it on and replacing the gear with a brick in the hope that no one will notice. Perhaps if they had replaced it with a sleek looking aluminium plate they would have gotten away with it.

After all since you can't play games on it, what else would a fan boy use a MacBook Pro other than for looking at?
