Guys,

Anyone interested in Apple TV which launched on 1st September.

If yes then we can start a go and contact KMD and other guys for their quote.

Please see feed back section.

I doubt people would be interested if the source is KMD.Rather talk to ICCWorld of ebay. They seem to be doing really good these days

I think we can even ask Mediahome for the same . He`s been importing stuff from the offshores .

interested depending on how it ends up costing and if there is a jailbreak scene on it. I would like to see support for more codecs... I'd say give it a few weeks and then when it is fully exploited.

It doesn't decode 1080p - not unless there's a hack to use the Broadcom's Crystal HD Decoder card and the required drivers to use it. JM2C.

imo Roku HD/HD-XR + Amazon Video on demand beats this apple player by a huge margin both in price as well as features.

for 69 usd for the player plus amazon videos at 99cents to around 9 bucks you own the video in both HD as well as SD and can download them to a pc or stream to a device whenever you want, as opposed to just rentals from the apple store. Huge difference to the pocket for poorer guys like me who like to own what we buy. :D

Roku

Amazon Video on Demand

Edit: Just tried video on demand from amazon on a 2Mb connection. Result: Not allowed for countries outside USA. You need to be in the US to download/ rent movies due to licensing restrictions. What a bummer!!

Might be the same with apple's player too.

Did you try working around with Hotspot Shield?

I would basically use this as a cheap solution for streaming media from my PC.... This or Roku either would do. I do not usually pay for my media :P Let me know whichever way this IC goes.

Then why don't you get yourself something like the Xstreamer/WDTV Live/POHD mini? Should fit your budget. :)

Hey YGPM as well. :P

Nah... i want sthn really cheap. $99 means this should be bout the 5k mark... i dont want to spend anything more because as it is with certain *ahem* upcoming Nokia devices (N8 and beyond) , i can just plug in a pen drive and watch HD video over HDMI and can even stream over Wifi :) .mkv too :D
