Forum Feedback Migrating away from XenForo - Migration Started

I never realised until I saw this thread, ages ago I thought we were on IPB forums. Were we on xenforo from start or migrated sometime in middle? I am so out of touch with the forum softwares.

While the edit is still available , please consider the request for visual separation of FS and GS threads if possible.
Will look into this after the migration. Not very sure on how to handle this right now.

I'm new here, so I might have missed it if it's already an option but I have two listing for sale in Marketplace , and whenever I want to access them, I have to scroll through my postings . I think the "Posts" section should only include threads or posts that I've created and Latest activity and cover everything else . Also, it would be really helpful to have a separate filter or tab specifically for Marketplace listings in postings, so I can easily find and manage my items for sale.

"Latest activity can cover everything else"

Lets look into this after the migration. We all will have unlearn and learn a few things.
I hate webpages that automatically scroll infinitely. I hope there will be a way to turn this off (as the users' personal preference) in the new forum, and revert to old-fashioned numbered pages.
There isn't a way to do that. It will be infinite scroll only.

I think of it like this: one way to catch up on a tv show was to watch each and every episode — and there's nothing wrong with that when you're young and time is limitless.

The other way is to maybe read/watch a few plot summaries ("the story so far") and dive right in after reading the main thread.

Each reply in a thread has the potential to become a branch with its own replies/chain so in a thread about Amazon deals for example, we can go off on about the virtues of a wax-coated dusters without bothering any other thread watchers or even OP. Discussions will have sub-discussions and infinite scrolling just lets you go pass anything you are not interested in. But then if you're looking for something, the search function is very potent.

Another example is the show-off thread. Someone can post their new purchase and members who have questions will form a sub-discussion while people who want to look at pretty pictures just scroll to the next post. This is difficult to achieve without dynamically loading posts/replies.

Basically, the beauty/charm of discourse is you don't need to or have to know everything about what everyone has posted or talked about — just what is relevant to your interests.
