Apple using thin-film touch panel in the rumored 7.85" iPad
There was speculation going around that thin-filmed touch panels were going to be used in the next iPhone. Secretive Industry suppliers are now claiming that those will also be used in a new upcoming iPad by Apple, which'll be a 7.85" iPad Mini.
The suppliers went far enough to name the actual manufacturers of this new panel. According to them "Nitto will be making the thin-film materials, while Nissha Printing and TPK will be laminating them in the screens for the iPad Mini. "
Apple doesn't make a lot of money from selling iPad's, So this might help them make a bit more off selling the newer iPad's as every bit helps (and the screen is usually the most expensive component of a Tablet).
