iOS Apple Watch Series 3 Battery Replacement in Mumbai

Wife has Apple Watch Series 3 38mm GFS whose battery isn't great anymore. She wants a new watch but seeing the usage we have, I am first exploring option of battery replacement. Has anyone in Mumbai got their apple watch's battery replaced? I know apple won't do and watch is already out of warranty. I enquired with one 3rd party shop (www.gadgetzippy.com) and they quoted 6200 which I think is pretty high.

Any other options ?

DIY ! It’s a great option to consider if you feel even slightly comfortable.

All apple products have bad battery and their prices are quite high I dont think you can get your watch battery fix less than 6k.

Why do you say bad battery? My Apple watch is bought in Mid 2017 so it is 4.5 years old now and still I get 10-12 Hours of usage. My wife's also gives 10 hours around after 3.5 years or so. Battery is a component which anyways degrades with use. Did you buy any apple product whose battery went back in few months?

Your replies don't make much sense and you are generalizing. If all iPhones had so much issue then problem would have been known. I am not talking about the throttling etc. My wife uses iPhone X bought in Dec 2017 so it is 4 years old, still at 77% battery health and inspite of it showing "service", she is able to use phone entire day easily.

I had bad experience with them. iPad repair had to be done twice (I was charged both times) and still not fixed.

I have an Apple Watch 3 that I bought 2nd hand. The battery life is fine in the 6 months since I bought it. Lasts whole day easily. But I mostly use for notifications.

even if battery replacement costs 6-7k, cheaper than buying new one for atleast 20k+

EDIT - I take issue with people saying all apple products have bad battery. Android phones have huge batteries (consid how small older iPhone batteries were/are the battery life is impressive and companies like Xiaomi artificially increase battery life by throttling notifications. I don’t want to start a flame war but most android phones corrupt the user experience by adding their skin over the excellent native android OS.
