Are eBay coupons applicable on auction?

These coupons like Ebay09deal.. Cud they be applied on items won in an auction? Or are they exclusively for Buy It Now items?
 
yes, I have bought things in auction before. Only thing is that Nowadays good Ebay coupon will not work after some days as they will reach the maximum limit(of times used) well before the expiry dates. So you will have to be careful about auction ending date and the coupon expiry/limit.
