Are My ATH M50 fake?

After a month or so i have observed that my M50 has both sides of pads R written instead of L. Obviously one pad should be for right and the other for left.
Could any one with M5o please confirm. I am at work so cant post the pictures now. Sound quality also didn't blow me away.

I got them from gimmedigi.

I feel like i am cheated as internet has lots of stories about fake M50s. To be frank i find JVR RX900 which i got 3 days back better than M50. Does M50 requires burn in as i used max for one hour or so since i bought it.

R written on both sides :O , and they were retailing for cheaper on amazon why did you not buy from there.

Anyways could be manufacturing mistake. Any one in bangalore having m50? I will take mine to him and compare. Shit I am definitely unlucky.
 
Guys any one from bangalore who has athm50,please respond. I would like to compare mine and confirm.

Except the right and left snickering issue everything seems to be perfecto. Some boxes didn't come with warranty card for no reason. At least this is what I read.
 
I did couple of tests as mentioned in head fi. MY m50 passed all with flying colours except this L and R thing. Infact fake also has L and R perfectly. May be manufacturing defect. I am feeling the bass is more punchy after some use. Lets see how it sounds after proper burn in.

Still bangaloreans with M50 please respond so that i can meet you and confirm about my M50.
 
^ One thing I forgot to ask you , what's the source of your music ? Mp3 player ? sound card on PC ?
 
I have sent my headphones to #FaH33m . He indeed certified these are genuine.

Probably a quality control issue from factory or major chances of it being a Quality rejected material.

usually when such there is even a minor issue in quality control or check these headphones are rejected and they usually land up with shady dealers or on the streets of china . These are genuine as original but are sold for cheap due to the quality control issues.
