Other Are spigen cases worth it ?

Considering the price of the cases is there any actual protection or advantage offered in real life by them or is it more of a mental peace thing. Their armoured collection suggests better overall protection. Cases costing upwards of 2k compared to a normal case being 10% of it.

Spigen offers great protection. If you are using a premium phone, you can use it. Else stick with 200rs cases. I often drop my phone and both spigen and other hard cases offered similar protection. Also spigen is heavier.

I've been using Spigen for quite a while now and I'm happy with it. Despite numerous falls, it has protected my phones quite well. It does have a life though, of about 5 years or so. Also, I haven't used any other brand for the last 8 years, so I have nothing to compare it with.

I have used 3-4 Spigen cases in the past without issues. But my current one left me unhappy.

My Galaxy S23 back has 10-20 1-2mm long spots with discoloration, as though something rubbed against it. The photo in this post is exactly how it looks, but I have more of them: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5...s-on-the-back-heat-from-wireless/td-p/6083825

I have a strong suspicion its the Spigen case's inside texture that caused it. I never used the phone without a case.

This post in Reddit also suspects Spigen when used with wireless charging as one potential cause:

I have used cases in the range of 200 -400 and I can say they lasted quite well and we're durable too. I've used spigen also they offer good or better protection but I feel as accessories they cost a lot.
I would suggest choose brands like spigen if own something premium as they don't compromise on quality

I'm a poor handler of phones. I decided to invest in a good case so got the spoken tough armor when I got my s23. It must have fallen at least 50-60 times in the last 2 yrs or so. No issues at all. But yes, the case is heavy af. So keep that in mind that your phone will feel like a brick in your hands.
