Details:

- proccy is oc'd to 3.59Ghz

- air cooled with a Noctua NH-U12P and 2 fans

- case is Cooler Master HAF 932 (cooling is adequate)

- bios voltages are 1.4325 vcore and 1.3 cpu/nb

- ambient temp is 29 celcius

- idle proccy temp is 42 celcius (13 degrees above ambient)

- max proccy temp running OCCT cpu test is 51 celcius (22 degrees above ambient)

Just like to know if these temps are acceptable to run a 24/7 system.

Thanks, krisnad.

perfectly safe for the proccy, but isnt it a bit high ?

i used to get idle of 28~29c on b\my X4 B50 # 3.4Ghz on stock cooler [with cnq] but laod temps were as high as 62c

Now with TRU push pull, idle temps are around 24~25c and max temp is 38~40c @ 3.6Ghz.

You are using too high vcore for 3.6Ghz. It can easily do 3.6 Ghz @ 1.34~1.35v or maybe less. Lowering vcore will surely reduce temps.

Thanks for your time and help Mav! I'm now fast and stable. I'm also better equipped now to help others with future builds. Can't wait.
Sincerely, krisnad.

The temp is too high 9for winter), as well as Vcore.

I run a X2 550 with three cores unlocked @3.8GHz on a CCF. The highest temp I've seen is 48 degrees, and the Vcore is 1.375V on a Gigabyte MA-790X board.

1.4V+ is a bit high for the processor on air. I would try to find the max stable clock at ~1.38 and stay there.

i m running 720 BE @ 3.4ghz maxes out @34-35C:ohyeah:
I "had" inverted my Antec 900 200 mm fan directly above the CPU making it intake fan rather than default exhaust.
