Ares, BearShare problem with BSNL

Hi everyone...I have been having issues with softwares like Ares, BearShare and also Xilisoft Download YouTube Video not getting connected...I use BSNL's 500pm connection with 2-8 unlimited plan and connect through my Belkin wireless router which is connected to the BSNL modem...I never had such issue before when I was using Sify connection...help me work my way around it..

Using Windows XP Home edition.

most probably port forwarding not done in firewall and/or router. you can search the forums on how to port forward. its already been written down n number of times here.

Goto router setting and check NAT connections.

Have tried that already, makes no difference...also turned off the windows firewall to check but doesnt work...

I dont see any NAT connection option in my router settings...
